“The best thing you can do is just practice, use the 8 example test we provide to help you”
Wow, this helped a lot! I’m in 7th grade and am taking the SAT in March 2018 (I’m taking it in 7th grade for different reasons, not submitting this to college or anything). I took a practice test and got a 720 on the reading section, and only a 680 on the math section. I’m surprised on this as I am typically better at math than reading (I’m in algebra 2 as of writing this, finished 2nd in a state math contest for algebra 1 last year, etc.) I’m very confident that I could get a 750+ on the math section with 10 – 15 more minutes, and my main problem is pacing myself. I do have around half a year to work on this and improve, but I wanted to know if there were any tips that weren’t mentioned in the video any of you guys have for me to pace myself. For your reference, I know 99% of the content, it takes me longer to do the actual test. Again, thanks!
Key Takeaways:
- Practice to know which types of problems will take you the most time.
- Don’t do the multiple choice answers first, focus on the open-ended questions.
- Pace yourself. Don’t dwell too long on questions because you need to keep moving.
